Our Story
Hi, I’m Sophie and this is Kindly and Company!
Our story begins back in 2020. I started out by selling jewelry and other handmade art projects to friends and family, under the name Fabulishous Craft Co. After a difficult year of mispronunciation, I decided to change the name to Kindly and Company in 2021.
Thus, Kindly and Company was officially born!
My business started slow as I moved on from only selling to friends and family and began posting my creations on Instagram and Facebook. As my pages gained traction, I started to explore new selling opportunities. In December of 2022 I began selling my wares at TepRock Shop in Valparaiso, IN, which helped me gain even more confidence in continuing my business venture. After two years at TepRock I began vending at craft fairs and farmer's markets. From there I continued to expand my reach throughout 2024 and the beginning of 2025, when I joined two other amazing consignment shops, Market 102 in Valparaiso, IN and Happy Frog Shop in La Porte, IN. In light of this expansion in product locations, I also designed and launched this website in hopes that Kindly and Company can continue to grow online as well as in-person!
As of now our name is out to thousands of new people and our products are in three different brick and mortar locations! Overall, I couldn't be happier with how this little company has grown to become something that I, and so many others, have come to love!
Meet The Artist
Hi, my name is Sophie, and I am the artist behind all of Kindly and Company’s designs!
I have always had a passion for art but it wasn’t until 2020 when life hit the pause button that I really found my stride and started to do what I truly love. Making jewelry had never been on my radar before I started my ever-growing collection of rocks and crystals, but once I started there was no going back! I absolutely love this business and everything that comes with it, from handmaking jewelry and sun catchers, to designing my business cards and website. I couldn’t imagine building this company any other way.
Besides being a business owner and an artist, I am also a college student studying psychology. I enjoy learning about people and their individual experiences and gaining a better understanding of the world around me. I find that having a positive and inquisitive outlook on life as a whole helps me understand my true potential as an artist!
Other activities I enjoy include spending time with my friends and family, playing board games, shooting photography, creating alcohol ink art, biking, road-tripping, and soaking in the sunshine at Lake Michigan beaches!
Overall, I couldn’t be more pleased with what I get to spend my time on and who I get to spend my time with! I can’t wait to see where this journey takes me!
